Inspiring rookies red-point Gory Nora at Ghar Lapsi

The newest members of the MRCC are forever surprising the more experienced climbers!

Yesterday, 16th January at Terry’s Cave in Ghar Lapsi, Miriam Gauci, siblings Marina and Edward Sciberras and Terezia Uherekova surpassed themselves yet again by tackling the first lead of their climbing career: they red-pointed Gory Nora VS 4c, a trad route with sharp rock and awkward moves. And they did not stop there! Forever pushing themselves, they made repeated attempts at top-roping Ghengis Can’t 6b and Altar of Stone E2 5c (6b+) in the same cave.

Meanwhile, after having warmed up on Gory Nora, Kurt Cagliari led Learning to Fly E4 6a and Andrew Warrington led Flypie E3 5c.

After the climbing and with some daylight left to spare, Andy Hooper, Andrew Warrington and Terezia Uherekova headed up the crag loaded with bolting gear and abseil ropes to bolt a brand new route in the vicinity…news about that to follow once it has been led.
